Can you see only Close Friends or Favorites posts on Instagram? (iPhone, 2026)
Instagram has no feed that shows only your Close Friends. In Instagram's help, Close Friends is a list you choose when you share a story (and, in some cases, a reel) so that only those people see it. The feature that does filter what you see is Favorites: add up to 50 accounts, then tap Instagram at the top of your feed and choose Favorites to see only their posts, newest first. Favorites changes the Home feed only. The Reels tab and Explore stay in the app, and if those are what you want gone, minulo hides them for free while your DMs keep working.

Is there a Close Friends feed?
We could not find one in Instagram's help as of October 2026. Close Friends works in one direction: you make a list, and when you share a story you tap Close Friends at the bottom so only people on that list see it. Instagram says stories shared this way disappear after 24 hours, people on your list know they are on it, and nobody can ask to be added. You may also be able to share a reel with the list.
When someone else has put you on their list, Instagram shows a green ring around their profile photo and a Close Friends label on their story. That is a marker on a story, not a separate feed you can open.
How to see only your Favorites
- Open Instagram and go to your feed.
- Tap Instagram at the top, then tap Favorites.
- Tap Favorites list in the top right, tap Search, and find the person.
- Tap Add account next to their name. Tap Remove to take someone off.
You can also get there from your profile: tap Menu in the top right, then Favorites below What you see. Meta says you can add up to 50 accounts and that Favorites shows posts in time order. Removing someone from Favorites does not unfollow them.
What Favorites does not change
Favorites is a view of the Home feed. Instagram's help says it moves posts from those accounts higher in your feed, and Meta says the Favorites view shows their latest posts. Neither says it removes the Reels tab, Explore or suggested posts elsewhere in the app. If you open Instagram to check on a few close friends and end up in Reels, Favorites alone will not stop that.
Keep Instagram to friends with minulo
minulo opens Instagram's official website inside the app. Tap the gear next to Instagram and choose what to hide: Reels and Explore tabs, Suggested posts, Stories, or Every tab but DMs. Messages, Feed and My posts open straight from the minulo home screen. minulo has no Favorites or Close Friends filter of its own, so for a short list of people use Instagram's Favorites.
Hiding is free. minulo can also lock the official Instagram app with Screen Time, free for up to 2 hours per block. While it is locked, its notifications don't arrive, and minulo does not send any in their place. minulo Pro adds schedules by day and time, blocks over 2 hours, Hard Mode and multiple block lists. minulo is for iPhone only.
Can you see only Close Friends posts on Instagram?
No. As of October 2026, Instagram's help describes Close Friends as a list you share stories with, not a feed you can open. To see posts from a small group of people only, add them to Favorites and open the Favorites view from the top of your feed.
