minulo is an iPhone app that keeps your social media working while hiding Reels, Shorts and recommended posts. Here are answers to the questions people ask most.

Can I hide Instagram Reels and still use DMs?
Yes. When you open Instagram inside minulo, the Reels and Explore tabs and suggested posts are not shown. Your DMs, your friends' posts, your own posts and profiles keep working. You choose what to hide one item at a time, and hiding is free.
Can I hide only YouTube Shorts?
Yes. When you open YouTube inside minulo, the Shorts shelf on the home screen and the Shorts tab are not shown. Search, your subscriptions and regular-length videos keep working. Hiding Shorts is free.
What happens to the official Instagram and TikTok apps?
minulo uses iPhone Screen Time to stop the official apps you choose from opening. When you try to open one, a "Blocked" screen appears, and its "Open minulo" button takes you to minulo instead. Choosing apps and turning blocking on are free.
Which social media services does minulo support?
minulo supports 10 services: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, LinkedIn and Snapchat. For each service, you choose what to hide one item at a time, such as Reels, Shorts, suggested posts or Explore tabs.
Is my password safe?
minulo never receives your ID or password. You sign in directly on each service's official sign-in page. minulo does not collect or store your ID, password or the contents of your DMs, and all of your records stay on your iPhone.
What happens to Reels that friends send me in DMs?
When you open a Reel or Short sent to you in a DM, minulo pauses before the endless vertical video feed begins. If you really want to watch it, tap "Open for 5 min" to watch for five minutes. After five minutes, blocking turns back on automatically.
Is minulo free? What does Pro add?
Hiding Reels, Shorts and suggested posts, and blocking the official apps, are free. A free block lasts up to 2 hours, and you can start another one whenever it ends. minulo Pro adds schedules that switch automatically by day and time, blocks longer than 2 hours, Locked Mode, which makes turning blocking off take effort, blocking social media completely so it won't open inside minulo either, and multiple block lists. Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial, and a one-time lifetime purchase is also available.
Can I use minulo if I post to social media for work?
Yes. Posting photos, commenting and replying to DMs work inside minulo. Posting Stories, voice messages and calls are not available because the web versions of these services do not have them, but "Take a break" opens the official app for the minutes you choose.
Are FeedMinus and minulo the same app?
Yes, they are the same app. FeedMinus was renamed minulo in September 2026. The App Store page, the features and what is free have not changed. If you installed it under the old name, updating the app keeps everything and shows the new name.
Which languages does minulo support? Is there an Android version?
minulo is an iPhone app available in 13 languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese and Russian. You can choose a language in Profile > Settings > Language. There is no Android version at the moment.
How is minulo different from SocialLite?
Both hide Reels and Shorts, keep your DMs, and can lock the official apps with iPhone Screen Time and send you to their own view. SocialLite has far more ratings (8,648 in the US as of October 13, 2026). minulo also covers TikTok, Threads, Pinterest and LinkedIn, which SocialLite's App Store page does not mention, and has a Chrome extension. Hiding Reels, Shorts and suggested posts in minulo is free. minulo launched in September 2026 and is still new.
YouTube now lets me set the Shorts limit to 0. Do I still need minulo?
If you only use YouTube in its app and are happy to stop yourself when the limit appears, YouTube's own Shorts feed limit may be enough. For adults the limit can be dismissed, and it does not cover youtube.com or other networks. minulo hides Shorts in its own view, also covers Instagram, TikTok and 7 more networks, and can lock the official apps.
How is minulo different from Opal?
Opal blocks whole apps, so while Instagram is blocked, its DMs are blocked too. minulo hides only Reels, Shorts and suggested posts, so DMs and friends' posts keep working. Both use iPhone Screen Time to lock apps; minulo sends you to its own Reels-free view instead of a closed door.
