How to turn off recommendations on Pinterest on iPhone (2026)
minulo hides the Pinterest home feed on iPhone for free: open Pinterest inside minulo and the Recommendations switch hides the feed of picked-for-you Pins, while your saved Pins and messages stay.
Pinterest's own tools make recommendations smaller, not gone: See fewer like this on a Pin, unfollowing the board or account it came from, and Refine your recommendations, where you can turn off recommendations based on Pins you looked at. We found no setting in Pinterest's help that turns the home feed off.
- Install minulo, tap Add a service and choose Pinterest.
- Tap the gear next to Pinterest. Recommendations hides the home feed along with Today, Videos and Ideas. Video pins can be hidden the same way.

Where Pinterest recommendations come from
Pinterest calls the home feed "a feed of Pins that have been picked for you". Its help says the picks are based on the people you follow, the boards you create, the Pins you engage with and your searches. So every save and search adds to what the home feed shows.
What Pinterest lets you do
See fewer like this: tap the ellipsis icon on a Pin in your home feed and choose See less (or See fewer like this). Pinterest also suggests unfollowing the board, topic or account a Pin came from.
Refine your recommendations: in the app, tap your profile picture at the bottom right, tap the more-options icon at the top right and choose Refine your recommendations. The Activity tab lets you turn off recommendations based on Pins you have looked at. The AI content tab has a Show AI content switch and per-topic switches for AI-generated Pins. Pinterest says these settings don't change the ads you see.
None of these is described as turning the home feed off. You still get Pins picked for you, just fewer of a kind.
Hide the home feed with minulo
minulo opens Pinterest's own website inside the app and hides the items you turn on. Recommendations hides the home feed along with Today, Videos and Ideas, and is on by default. You can also hide Video pins, related suggestions under a Pin, or the search box if you only want your boards. Saved and Messages open straight from the minulo home screen. Limits, so you can decide honestly: hidden parts are hidden only inside minulo, and the official apps don't change.
