SocialLite vs UNDOOMED: two apps that hide Reels and keep your DMs (2026)
SocialLite and UNDOOMED both show your social networks inside their own app with short video feeds filtered out and keep DMs, and a third option, minulo, does the same for free and also covers TikTok. SocialLite is the bigger one: 14,384 US ratings at 4.8 stars, push notifications for Instagram and Snapchat, and it can block the official apps and send you to SocialLite. UNDOOMED is smaller (107 ratings, 4.3 stars), runs on iPhone and Android, and has a Messages Only mode for Instagram and LinkedIn. Neither one lists TikTok. If you need TikTok, or want messages only without paying, minulo is a third option.

Pick SocialLite if
- you want Instagram or Snapchat notifications while Reels stay hidden;
- you want the app with by far the most ratings and the longest list of reviews;
- you also use an iPad (its release notes mention iPad support).
Pick UNDOOMED if
- you use Android, or want the same app on iPhone and Android;
- you want messages only for LinkedIn as well as Instagram;
- you want hourly or daily caps with a PIN;
- you would rather pay once: it lists a $29.99 lifetime Pro next to its monthly and yearly plans.
Where minulo fits
minulo works the same basic way as both apps: it opens each network's official website inside the app and hides the parts you choose. The differences are TikTok and Snapchat (minulo covers both, 10 networks in all), a free messages-only setting (Every tab but DMs for Instagram and TikTok) and locking the official apps, so tapping the usual Instagram icon shows a block screen with an Open in minulo button. Locking is free for up to 2 hours per block. Schedules, longer blocks, Hard Mode and multiple block lists are in minulo Pro.
Limits, so you can decide honestly: minulo can't change the official apps, so Reels and Shorts are hidden only inside minulo. While minulo blocks an official app, that app's notifications don't arrive, and minulo sends none of its own. Posting Stories, voice messages and calls aren't available, because the web versions of these networks don't have them. minulo runs on iPhone and Mac (plus Chrome and Safari extensions), not Android, and it is new, with few ratings. See what minulo can't do.
Which is better, SocialLite or UNDOOMED?
It depends on what you need. SocialLite has far more ratings (14,384 in the US, average 4.8) and push notifications for Instagram and Snapchat. UNDOOMED runs on Android as well as iPhone, has a Messages Only mode for Instagram and LinkedIn, and its paid plans cost less.
Do SocialLite or UNDOOMED work with TikTok?
Neither lists it. SocialLite's App Store description and release notes don't mention TikTok, and UNDOOMED lists TikTok and Snapchat as unavailable. minulo opens TikTok with For You, Explore and Create hidden while messages keep working, for free.
Is SocialLite or UNDOOMED on Android?
UNDOOMED is on iPhone and Android. The sources we used describe SocialLite on iPhone and iPad only. minulo is not on Android yet.
Which one is cheaper?
UNDOOMED. Its Plus plan is $1.99 a month and Pro is $2.99 a month, $17.99 a year or $29.99 lifetime in the US. SocialLite's Pro costs $6.99 to $17.99 a month or $19.99 to $47.90 a year, depending on the offer shown (US, checked 2026-10-26). Both are free to download.
Which one collects less data?
On their US App Store privacy labels (checked 2026-10-23), SocialLite lists Identifiers under Data Used to Track You, and UNDOOMED lists nothing there. UNDOOMED's Data Not Linked to You is a device ID, product interaction and crash data. Apple notes that developers write these labels and Apple does not verify them.
