minulo vs WallHabit: hold to unlock, or hide Reels? (2026)

WallHabit and minulo both try to stop endless scrolling, in different ways.

WallHabit makes you hold a button for a few seconds before a distracting app opens, and says it can also block parts of apps such as reels and shorts. minulo opens the networks inside its own app with Reels, Shorts and Explore removed, while DMs keep working.

Pick WallHabit if

  • you want a short pause before every distracting app, rather than a different way to view it;
  • you use Android, or want the same on Chrome on a computer;
  • you want it to act on the apps themselves rather than in a separate browser;
  • you prefer an app that has been on the App Store longer (since October 2025) and has 35 US ratings.

Pick minulo if

  • you want to know exactly which networks are covered and what is hidden on each;
  • you want Instagram DMs and your following feed without Reels in front of you;
  • you want hiding to be free;
  • you use a Mac.

minulo shows each network's website rather than the official app, so screens look a little different from the app. While minulo locks an official app, that app's notifications don't arrive.
