How to get rid of Discover on Snapchat on iPhone (2026)
Snapchat's help says you can't completely disable the Discover section. minulo opens Snapchat on iPhone with Spotlight and Discover hidden for free, and Chat keeps working.
Inside Snapchat you can hide one Story or Show at a time with Hide this Content, and in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you can turn off personalization for Discover. Neither removes the section. minulo's switch works only inside minulo, so the official Snapchat app doesn't change.
- Install minulo, tap Add a service and choose Snapchat.
- Tap the gear next to Snapchat and turn on hiding for Spotlight and Discover.

What Snapchat lets you do
Hide one item: on the Stories screen, press and hold a Story or Show tile and tap Hide this Content. To bring it back, tap the three dots at the top of the Stories screen, tap View Hidden Stories and tap Un-Hide. Snapchat adds: "Not all Stories content can be hidden, and you can't completely disable a certain topic, theme, or the Discover section."
Why Discover keeps finding things for you: Snapchat says it ranks Discover using your viewing history, how long you watch, whether you favorite or share, and whether you subscribe. Skipping, reporting and hiding count as signs you don't enjoy something.
Turning off personalization (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If you live in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Snapchat lets you opt out of personalization on public content feeds: tap ... on a piece of content, then Why am I seeing this content?, or go to Settings and Personalization Controls. Snapchat says you will still see content, only more random and less relevant to your interests. Reset Suggested Content resets most signals, but not all.
So even there, Discover stays. It just stops being tailored to you.
Hide Discover with minulo
