minulo vs Scrolless: a Scrolless alternative that hides Reels and keeps DMs (2026)
If you want Reels and Shorts gone but your DMs kept, both apps can do it, in different places. Scrolless: Feed Blocker works in Safari, so it helps when you use Instagram, YouTube or X on the web, and it costs $4.99 once. minulo hides Reels, Shorts and suggested posts on 10 networks, including TikTok, inside its own app, and hiding is free.
Scrolless, made by Jared Floersch, has two modes. Feed Blocker blocks whole feeds, like Reddit's front page, YouTube home and Instagram Reels, while specific posts, videos, profiles, searches and messages still open. Feed Cleaner keeps a feed but removes suggested posts, ads and recommendations. To stop you from undoing your own rules on a bored evening, any change that loosens blocking takes 12 hours to start working.
Scrolless is not the same app as Scroll Less (Quintana Labs LLC), which we compare in minulo vs Scroll Less. Two more apps on the US App Store have similar names: Scrolless - Save Your Vision, an eye-rest reminder, and Scrollless - Screen Time Block, with three Ls. This page is only about Scrolless: Feed Blocker.
This page is written by the developer of minulo, so keep that in mind. Scrolless facts come from its App Store pages in the US and UK (version 1.9.1, released 2026-08-16) and its Product Hunt page, checked 2026-11-04. Features and prices can change.

Pick Scrolless if
- you already use Instagram, YouTube, Reddit or X in Safari and want to keep your normal tabs, history and autofill;
- you'd rather pay once ($4.99) than subscribe;
- you want the 12-hour delay so you can't loosen your rules on impulse;
- you want to block feeds on other sites with your own rules;
- you want it on iPad too.
Pick minulo if
- you need TikTok, Threads, Pinterest or Snapchat without the feed;
- you want hiding to be free;
- you want the official apps locked with Screen Time and a button that opens the same network in minulo instead;
- you use Chrome on a Mac.
minulo shows each network's website rather than the official app, so screens look a little different from the app. While minulo locks an official app, that app's notifications don't arrive.
Is minulo a good Scrolless alternative?
If you mostly use the Instagram, YouTube or TikTok apps rather than Safari, yes. minulo hides Reels, Shorts and suggested posts on 10 networks, including TikTok, inside its own app, keeps DMs working, and hiding is free. If you already do your social media in Safari and like paying once, Scrolless fits that well, and its 12-hour delay on loosening your rules is something minulo doesn't have.
Is Scrolless free?
The download is free, and the App Store lists one in-app purchase, Unlock Scrolless, for $4.99 in the US. The listing says there is no subscription: you pay once. It doesn't say which features work before you unlock. In minulo, hiding Reels, Shorts and suggested posts is free, and Pro is a subscription.
Is Scrolless the same app as Scroll Less?
No. Scrolless: Feed Blocker is made by Jared Floersch (Floersch Engineering LLC) and works in Safari. Scroll Less Block Reels Shorts is a different app from Quintana Labs LLC. There are also two other apps with similar names on the US App Store: Scrolless - Save Your Vision from Scrolless, UAB, which reminds you to rest your eyes, and Scrollless - Screen Time Block (with three Ls) from Gian Muehlemann, which limits app sessions.
